Hand Therapy Services
Hand therapy is the practice of assessment and rehabilitation of the upper limb, specifically from the elbow to the fingertips. Hand therapy helps a client regain maximum functional use of his or her hand following injury, surgery or the onset of disease.
Hand therapists have advanced skills in assessing, diagnosing and splinting pathological conditions of the upper limb.
Treatment is provided by a registered physiotherapist or occupational therapist who, through post-graduate education and clinical experience are qualified to specialise in the management of these conditions.
