Kelly graduated as a Physiotherapist from Auckland Institute of Technology in 1992. Working as a staff physiotherapist at Middlemore Hospital she developed a passion for hand therapy, particularly enjoying working as part of the multi disciplinary team alongside surgeons, occupational therapists and nursing colleagues.

Kelly has completed post graduate studies in manipulative therapy (1998). She has a wide range of experience having worked in a private practice specializing in treating hand and upper limb pathologies until opening Hands On Rehabilitation alongside Tania in 2003. She has been actively involved in presenting to allied health professionals as part of their continuing medical education and has an interest in teaching. Kelly is the current president of the New Zealand Association of Hand Therapists (NZAHT) being elected to this position in 2015. Kelly continues to teach and supervise therapists whilst consulting on complex cases. Areas of particular interest and expertise include wrist and sporting injuries.
